Northeast Portland Catholic parishes St. Charles, St. Andrew, Holy Redeemer and The Madeleine held our Spring 2022 Environmental Enrichment Series, a series of nationally renowned speakers discussing critical climate and environmental topics.

Katharine Hayhoe
Christians and Climate Change
Katharine is a nationally-renowned Climate Scientist, and professor and department chair of Public Policy and Public Law at Texas Tech University. She is also the Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy.

Dr. Wheeler is an Assistant Professor of Theology at University of Portland. In addition to teaching on the Bible, Christian spirituality, and spiritual practices, she has a particular interest in how people interpret their pro-environmental behavior as spiritual.
